I´m sorry but I won´t be able to make it to our lunch tomorrow:(
My brother just called and told me that our father´s got a minor heartattac. I have to go to the hospital in Glasgow too see him and I´m not returning to London until after the weekend. The doctor tells us dad´d going to be fine but I still feel that I need to go up there and see him. I´ll see you at lunch next Thursday

Dear Mr Marchall,
I recieved an unexpected phone call last night and my father has had a minor heart attac. Due to the circumstances I need to go and visit him in the hospital in Glasgow. I apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused but I will be back at work Monday morning. I will gladly make up the time lost next weekend.
